European Researcher’s Night 2018 – Who is Who

META-CAN has participated in this European event with the activity entitled: WHO is WHO in European Science? / QUI és QUI en la Recerca a Europa? Developed in the ImaginCafè (Barcelona) on Friday 28th of September 2018 (20 – 22:00h). It was jointly organized with the following ITNs with participants based in Barcelona:

• BE OPTICAL – Advanced BiomEdical OPTICAL Imaging and Data Analysis
• DIVIDE – A multidisciplinary approach to cell division: From human oocyte to synthetic biology
• META-CAN – Metabolism Immunity Cancer
• OPTAHY – From Omics to Patient: Improving Diagnostics of Pathogenic Yeasts
• PHD – Deciphering PI3K biology in health and disease
• MIXITIN – Bringing the paradigm for marine pelagic production into the 21st century: incorporating mixotrophy into mainstream marine research
• SINGEK – Promoting SINgle cell GEnomics to explore the ecology and evolution of hidden microeukaryotes

The whole activity was a success with many participants showing their interests for research developed in our projects. People were distributed in small groups that could walk around the different project’s stands, where our research projects were explained using different materials. Afterwards there was a joint quiz to prove who has learned the most, with prizes for the top ten.
